The predecessor of Taurus Carbonpack was created in 1985 by TAURUS Rubber Industry Company with more than 100 years of history near the Ukrainian - Slovakian - Hungarian border. Its foundation was based on the favourable geographical situation of the site with availability of narrow- and wide gauge railway lines.
In 1996 in the context of TAURUS Rubber Industry Company’s privatization it became member of Michelin Group as well, keeping its legal independence up to 2014.
Quality of work was the most important element in serving its customers always from the beginning of its foundation. Establishment in 1996 and effective operation of an ISO 9001 based quality management system since then is also part of this intention.
Due to the well-organized active commercial activity, continuous developments and investments realized by Carbonpack number of its partners and the product range have continuously increased. In this respect 1997 was an important milestone when Taurus Carbonpack started distribution of synthetic rubbers.
Besides meeting the highest quality requirements Taurus Carbonpack recognized growing importance of the environmental protection so in 1998 it has established its ISO 14001 based environmental management system what is effectively operated since then.
The
continuously growing trading activity in 2004 required installation
of 2 new silos what was the greatest capacity-expanding investment in
the entity’s history. At the same time warehouse surface for storing
packaged products was increased to 5000 m2. Thanks to these developments the
today modern warehouses reliably assure restoring quality of the handled products.
In
order to provide services on even higher level in the period 2007-2010 the
company accomplished further considerable investments. In 2007 a synthetic
rubber test laboratory was created the capacity of which was further
expanded in 2010.
From
1st January 2014. Taurus Carbonpack Ltd mergered into MICHELIN
Hungaria Ltd.
restoring at the same time the TAURUS CARBONPACK brand name.
